Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Aevum Wallet. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. As a non-custodial gateway for the Canton Network, our privacy practices are built into our core architecture.

2. Information We Collect

Because Aevum Extension Wallet is a self-custodial software, we minimize data collection to the absolute necessity for ledger interaction:

  • **Public Addresses**: Used solely for interacting with the Canton network and processing contract exercises.
  • **Communication Data**: Information you provide when contacting our support or institutional services.
  • **SOC2 Compliance**: For institutional modules, certain KYC/KYB data may be required via external compliant verifiers, but never stored within the wallet software itself.

3. Sub-Transaction Privacy

Aevum operates on the Canton Network. Unlike public blockchains, transaction details, order sizes, and participating counterparties are not published to a global ledger. Data is synchronized strictly on a need-to-know basis as per the underlying Daml smart contracts, physically isolating your financial data from network participants who are not party to the transaction.

4. Data Security

We have implemented appropriate technical security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. Your private keys remain encrypted locally and are never transmitted to Aevum servers.
